Sweet Boiled Milk and God

Last night I had the pleasure of attending a friend’s wedding a the Capitol Theatre. It was the unlikely, but quintessentially urban-Canadian, convergence of Indian and Baptist families united by love. The perma-smile on Neha’s face, framed by an intricately beaded veil, was telling of how happy the couple is to be married. Very sweet, and a long time coming. Sweet like the silver and gold clad boiled milk treats to nibble on before the ceremony.
